Biologique Recherche creates serum to fight excess glucose and signs of skin ageing

Biologique Recherche has released an anti-ageing serum, the Sérum A-Glyca.

The serum is formulated to maintain elastin and collagen and thus reduce the signs of ageing that are brought on by an excess of glucose in the body.

Biologique Recherche says that based on its research, this excess binds to the proteins (collagen and elastin) and creates AGE (Advanced Glycation End products).

The collagen and elastin, trapped in glucose, become glycated proteins, losing quality and causing the skin to lose its elasticity resulting in wrinkles and uneven complexion.

It adds that this reaction can be exacerbated by external events such as heat, UV rays or pollution.

Anti-Glycation

Mimosa Albizia Julibrissin extract (also known as

Silk Tree) is used in the serum to protect the elastin and collagen fibres

susceptible to be damaged by glycation, and

prevent the production of AGE.

Deglycation

Biologique Recherche says carcinine is used to trap glucose and release collagen and

elastin and by preventing these fibres from solidifying, it

helps reduce wrinkles and fine lines.

The serum has an antioxidant action to provide

overall protection against skin ageing.
